Each year, Pine Bluff Animal Services receive hundreds of lost animals. Our staff has no way of returning these animals to their owners unless they can be identified in some way. Having your pet wear a collar with a rabies and city license tag is a way to identify your pet.
If you have lost your pet or found an animal, check with Pine Bluff Animal Services. Give a complete description of the animal that was lost or found. We can check our lost and found files to try to reunite the pet with its owner.
If you lost your pet, the following may be of help to you:
- Check with your neighbors to see if they have seen your pet.
- Call Pine Bluff Animal Services immediately.
- Place an ad in your local newspaper.
- Check ads in local newspapers and flea markets that have animals for sale.
- Check with local veterinarians to see if the lost pet was turned in injured.
Routine follow-up calls in all areas are necessary until your pet is found. If you have found a lost pet, you should follow the same measures. Never assume a found pet is an unwanted pet. Pets can be lost from love ones simply by accident.
