The Office of the Mayor is promoting a campaign to clean our city. ‘Make Progress Not Litter’ is an effort to bring awareness and resolve to the effects of litter in our community.
Each 4th Saturday of the month, churches and organizations are asked to take ownership of their immediate neighborhoods and put together a team that will meet each month to pick up trash in their area. If you have questions about the monthly clean-up efforts, please call Evelyn Horton at (870) 730-2031.
Pine Bluff is a City of Progress. We need volunteers to help ‘Make Progress, Not Litter’ by joining in this effort.
Occasionally the City of Pine Bluff will conduct a day of service focused on eliminating litter and bringing the community together to make an impact in our neighborhoods.
For further information, please contact the Office of the Mayor 870-730-2000 ext. 7. Follow the City of Pine Bluff’s Facebook page to stay current on 4th Saturday Cleanup, as well as other information.
April’s 4th Saturday – Day of Service.
April’s Day of Service will focus on Townsend Park, and the area around St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Last fall, Townsend Park received attention by way of cleaning up trash, trimming bushes, as well as the removal of damaged roofs from the pavilions. April 28, volunteers are returning to Townsend park to install red metal roofs.
The City of Pine Bluff will also concentrate on the area around St. Luke United Methodist Church, 32 School St., behind Dollarway High School.
This Day of Service will start at 10 a.m. at both locations. Volunteers are needed and welcome.
