34th Annual ICVR KINGFEST Marade (Parade / Marade)
2018 Theme: “From Nonviolence to No Violence”
Parade Marshal: Dr. Laurence B. Alexander
Chancellor of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff
MLK Parade / Marade Lineup time @ 1 PM – Jefferson County Courthouse to the
Pine Bluff Convention Center
The route is as follows:
Proceed south on Main Street to 8th Avenue;
East on 8th Avenue to Convention Center Drive;
Enter the Pine Bluff Convention Center on the south side of the facility
Participants are asked to develop and display messages on floats, cars,
church buses, banners and signs related to the theme. Awards will be given
for the most provocative banner, poster or float using the Parade / Marade theme.
Churches, social and civic organizations, youth groups,
neighborhood watch groups, sororities, fraternities,
school bands, businesses, and elected officials are invited participate.
The deadline for parade applications is Thursday, January 11, 2018.
Applications can be filled out at the Pine Bluff ICVR Office,
located at 211 West 3rd Avenue – Suite 109 in Pine Bluff, AR
(in the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center).
