National Night Out 2017

Tuesday, August 1, the Pine Bluff Police Department and the City of Pine Bluff sponsored National Night Out 2017.

Local law enforcement, along with other community members, and organizations came together providing food and fun in a safe environment. Community resource information for Pine Bluff and Jefferson County was also available to the public.

“We had a bunch of citizens to show up and support the event,” says Lieutenant Hosea Thompson of the Pine Bluff Police Department “We were pleased with the turnout.”

The PBPD gave away prizes citizens could use including fans, cookware, and tool kits, along with car battery chargers, fishing poles, and much more. Organizations participating passed out helpful literature and information, as well as operated the numerous games. The Pine Bluff Commercial reported several hundred people in attendance. Not only was it well attended, but “it was a success,” Lieutenant Thompson said.
