DUTIES: The Human Resources Director develops policies and directs and coordinates
human resource activities such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, fair housing, Americans with Disability Act and employee services.  The Director writes directives advising department managers of city policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation and employee benefits and consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with city, state and federal law.  The Director also oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by city ordinances, state or federal regulations and writes and delivers presentation to department heads and other governmental officials regarding Human Resources policies and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS: All applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four year college or university and seven years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and a minimum of five years of management experience.
