The Pine Bluff Planning Commission was created by Pine Bluff City Code Section § 20-26. The duties of the Commission are to promote the public interest and understanding of long-range, coordinated municipal planning; to review proposed subdivisions; and to make zoning recommendations to the Pine Bluff City Council. The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council regarding street and alley closures; reviews changes in land use policy and has final approval on several permit types. The Planning Commission meets the last Tuesday of every month. Meetings are held at 4 p.m. in the City Council Chambers on the ground floor of City Hall, 200 E. 8th Avenue. The Planning Commission has seven members, appointed for three-year terms by the City Council.
