City of Pine Bluff Presents Homeowner Key to Reconstructed Home
PINE BLUFF, ARKANSAS – For many Americans, owning a home represents freedom, independence, and the American dream. This dream recently became a reality for Pine Bluff resident Pasty Woods.

The City of Pine Bluff presented Ms. Woods, homeowner, a key to her newly-reconstructed home located in west Pine Bluff, Friday, August 15, 2008 during a ribbon cutting ceremony. The ceremony included a presentation by Mayor Carl A. Redus, Jr., who thanked Ms. Woods for allowing the City of Pine Bluff’s Economic and Community Development Department to assist in this endeavor. Joining Ms. Woods for the celebration were five generations of relatives, which included her 97-year-old grandmother. “The City of Pine Bluff is committed to helping our citizens achieve their dreams of homeownership. We have launched initiatives and homeownership programs to help responsible homeowners keep and maintain their homes,” said Mayor Carl A. Redus, Jr. “Today is indeed a joyous occasion for Ms. Woods and her family and the City of Pine Bluff is happy to share in this celebration.” |
Ms. Woods home is 1,996 square feet and has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, living room and a two car garage. This home will serve as an enhancement to this neighborhood and west Pine Bluff.
The Reconstruction Program is offered by the City of Pine Bluff through its Department of Economic and Community Development and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This program allows homeowners the opportunity to improve their quality of life and increase safety and efficiency in their homes.
