Pine Bluff Animal Control
strives to improve conditions for animals in the community by reducing
uncontrolled animal breeding. Arkansas sate code requires all dogs and
cats adopted from any animal shelter or humane organization to be
sprayed or neutered.
Pine Bluff Animal Services
alone with the Jefferson County Humane Society in partnership with
local veterinarians implemented a program to reduce the cost of
sterilization of adopted shelter animals.
Animal Services issues to a
new owner of a shelter animal a voucher that entitles the adopter a
discount rate for spaying and neutering their new pet. The discount
rate consist of $50.00 for dogs and $40.00 for cats.
