PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

June 23, 2006

SAve ON gas money; ride the bus

The continuing increase in gasoline prices has created an economic hardship for many Pine Bluffians. The City of Pine Bluff encourages residents to take the bus instead of their vehicle. It will save riders money, lessen traffic volume, and provide an environment-friendly option.

Pine Bluff Transit’s bus hours are Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. There are eight routes within the city limits of Pine Bluff. All of the buses meet at Second Avenue and Main Street, so it’s easy to transfer to another route.

Pine Bluff Transit bus riders are required to deposit exact change in the fare box. Pine Bluff Transit operators are not allowed to make change for riders, nor accept any money or other items from riders.
